mainly (though not entirely) [...] after I had a falling out with blogTO about my photos for the restaurant reviews I was posting.
If you live in our neck of the woods, check it out for the restaurant reviews.
If you don’t, check it out for the recipes.

Congrats to my pal Tom who made a guest-blogging appearance on the Detoit Pistons’ site.
Having season tickets is just about being a more informed fan that stays on top of things and follows the importance of a particular game or matchup and the health of the players. On Wednesday I won my fantasy basketball league, beating 12 guys who probably know more about basketball than me. I feel like I know every detail of every game with these guys because I’m at The Palace so often. You just feel like you’re more of a part of what’s going on there. So that’s the advantage for me, more than having tickets all the time, just having the constant knowledge that a fly-by-night, bandwagon fan might not have.
Nicely done, buddy. Watch out for the shellfish, though.

My friend Laura Peek is a very talented singer-songwriter. For a good long while now, she’s been talking me about a record she’s working on. And I’ve been waiting patiently since she first mentioned it.
Luckily, it seems that the wait will soon be over. According to her blog, the new CD will likely come out in April. What’s more, she’s posted three new songs from it on her MySpace page. And, she’s playing in Toronto on March 11th.
Go listen to Laura’s songs. They’re good.

While he was over, he told me about his newest blog: Tristan presents: The Truth.
Now, if there’s one thing Tristan Homer likes to do, it’s to start web-based projects, then delete them soon after (for fear that a future employer will discover them).
Tristan presents: The Truth celebrates its first month online tomorrow. Join me in congratulating Tristan for keeping his finger off the delete key.
That is, if it’s still there tomorrow.

Dave is one hell of a cool guy. We met at Podcasters Across Borders a couple of weeks back. Since meeting, I’ve been amazed to discover that he does three (!) podcasts: Broca’s Area, Thunderbird Six, plus a feed of his psych lectures at Algoma University.
The interview was really a lot of fun. I’m flattered to have been asked. Thanks, Dave.

She just graduated from Sheridan, she’s planning to move into Toronto soon, and it’s really nice to see things working out the way she wants them to. More details on her blog.
Congrats, Christina.
