Yup, the screeching is back, as of this morning:

The TTC has scheduled streetcar service to resume along the Queen Street East bridge across the Don River at 5 a.m. today. Construction at Church and Queen Streets continues to disrupt streetcar service.

I smiled yesterday when, as I tried to make my way from downtown to the Beaches, a bus picked me up on King. It flew across King and Queen and I got to my destination in record time (as did the traffic around us).

    All.
    Streetcars.
    Must.
    Die.
