Queen and Parliament is now Peter’s Corner

My favourite pizza place in Toronto, Peter’s Cajun Creole Pizza, is expanding. The former Mr. Tasty location, adjacent to Pete’s Cajun at Queen and Parliament, is now Peter’s Corner. They installed the sign tonight:

The sign promises:

  • Hamburger
  • Panini
  • Steak
  • Coffee
  • Gelato

But the best part? Their slogan is “Profile of Excellence.”

I’m not quite sure what that means, but I’m keen to eat there.

Dan, you should re-take a photo, they added a profile shot of Peter himself on the sign (Peter has a mustasche and some sort of mullet-ponytail).

I kind of liked the oldschool “Mr. Tasty” sign, and Mr. Tasty himself is more photogenic than Peter.

  2. Finally made my way into Peter's Corner. Right off the hop the food was weak and overpriced…trying way too hard to be something other than just a good burger joint and failing miserably. Be sure to notice that pretty well all the burgers come with a scallion mayo (helmann's and green onions). Stick to the 'za pete. I give it 12 months before he's serving beer to the locals just like ol' tasty's.

  3. We were really hoping for better. I still think the pizza is okay but the new menu and the new prices are just off. Stick to what you know. Please cut your hair (or at least wear a hair net…nasty). Zero stars out of 10.

Very, very, very poor all around.

I applaud Peter's efforts in helping the renaissance movement on Queen St. E. The food is great. Paying a little more for better quality and healthier choices is never a bad thing.

Hey, do you guys know what happened to Peter's Corner? It looks like it got shut down by the landlord…

  6. What happened was Peters very large ego got in the way and karma took over good ridance most people in the neighborhood cant stand you and your trashy wife. Horribly overpriced food and lack of business, Peter it couldnt of happened to a better person . That sign with your face on it is a joke good ridance from the people of the neighborhood.
